A specialist was called to solve a 10m$ computer problem, Looking at the screen, the specialist played on the keyboard, noded his head, said a few words and opened the main unit. With a screwdriver, he thightened a small bolt (2 turns). He closed the unit and checked that all was fine. The owner was surprised and decided to pay on the spot. --How much is it? --It will be 1000$, said the specialist. --What 1000$ for a few minutes of work? 1000$ to screw a bolt, I know that the computer is worth 10m$, but 1000$ for this is too much. I will pay when I get a detailled invoice with a good explanation. The specialist left and came back the next day with his invoice, the owner read it and paid right away. On the invoice, it was written; 1$ for screwing a bolt, 999$ for knowing which bolt to screw.

Il referma le boitier et s'assura que tout fonctionnait parfaitement. Le patron fut agréablement surpris et decida de payer sur le champ. --Combien vous dois-je? Demanda t-il. -- Ça fera 1000$, s'il vous plaît. __ 1000$? Pour quelques minutes de travail? 1000$ pour serrer un boulon? Je sais que cet ordinateur vaut 10m$, mais 1000$ c'est absurde! Je ne réglerais qu'à la réception d'une facture détaillée qui justifie une telle somme. Le spécialiste partit et revient le lendemain avec une facture. Le patron la lit et paye sans broncher. Sur la facture, on pouvait lire; 1$ pour serrer un boulon, 999$ pour savoir quel boulon serrer.
